Plant Director for ALMIRALL - Germany
Role Summary/ Purpose
- Provides leadership and direction for the production site in Reinbek, taking accountability on the results and KPIs compliance
Reports to
- Hierarchically and functionally: Global Pharma Operations Director (located in Spain)
Essential responsibilities
- Manage the entire production facility with approx. 105 employees in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, service and HSE matters
- Lead and develop local management team of Industrial area
- Aware of and comply with the Quality Management System, Good Manufacturing Practices and legal requirements
- Ensure accurate production planning
- Responsible for developing budgets and update forecasts for production site
- Planning and execution of investments for production site according to budgeted resources and timelines
- Identify quality and compliance concerns and take immediate corrective actions
- Ensure continuous improvement of processes according to benchmarks
- Present production site in Operations Management Committee on group level and contributes to development of strategy
- Member of the Site Management Committee of Almirall Hermal GmbH to decide upon HR policies and HR projects concerning German employees
- Identifies and implements the adequate measures in order to reach KPIs and results in a continuous way
- Provides leadership to Industrial key projects
- Facilitate the transversality and coordination in industrial global projects & processes
Qualifications / Requirements
- University degree as Pharmacist or comparable natural scientific university degree
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a production manager in the pharmaceutical (or chemical) industry
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement best practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work in a team
- Change management oriented
- Fluency in German and English (Spanish as a relevant nice to have)
